What does the HEL Committee do?

The HEL Committee concentrates and represents the interests of the German professional and commercial helicopter pilots in regard to professional policy and air traffic safety on a national and international level. For this purpose, it maintains close contact to the other committees of the VC, to ensure the best possible flow of information e.g. the risk of bird strikes or laser attacks.

Representatives of the HEL Committee are present in the relevant committees in the European and international pilots’ associations ECA and IFALPA and in doing so, are trying to influence the legislation of the EASA and ICAI in the interest of the German helicopter pilots.
