Weiterhin kein Lösungswille bei Lufthansa - Ankündigung erneuter Arbeitskämpfe der Piloten!

Die Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) wird ihre Mitglieder bei Germanwings von Donnerstag, 12. Februar 00.00 Uhr bis Freitag, 13. Februar 2015 23.59 Uhr zu einem zweitägigen Arbeitskampf aufrufen.
Bestreikt werden alle Abflüge der Germanwings in Deutschland.
Ende letzten Jahres hatte die VC das Lufthansa Management aufgefordert, eine nachhaltige Befriedung des Tarifkonfliktes herbeizuführen. Mehrfach unterbreitete die VC Vorschläge, z.B. eine Gesamtschlichtung, wie dieses Ziel gemeinsam erreicht werden kann.
Lufthansa hat alle Vorschläge ausgeschlagen und beharrt u.a. auf einer deutlichen Verschlechterung bis zur Abschaffung der Übergangsversorgung für die jungen Piloten. Das ist für die VC nicht akzeptabel.
„Zuletzt scheiterten die Bemühungen der VC in dieser Woche. Damit dokumentiert Lufthansa erneut den fehlenden Einigungswillen und verantwortet weitere Arbeitskämpfe“, sagte Jörg Handwerg, Pressesprecher der VC.
Die VC bedauert die erneuten Unannehmlichkeiten für die Passagiere.
This Thursday, 12th of February and Friday 13th of February Vereinigung Cockpit (VC), The German Pilots’ Association, has called for industrial action at Germanwings, a 100% subsidiary of Lufthansa primarily operating low cost flights. All pilots working for Germanwings are called to strike for 48 hours.
Lufthansa management has called for an arbitration in the area of the Transitional Retirement plan. This could solve the conflict in this area but not in all of the other areas of dispute. Lufthansa company council has discussed thoroughly options to resolve the industrial conflicts with Lufthansa. The company council has come to the conclusion, that an arbitration can only be fruitful, if it will encompass all areas of conflict and if management will enter arbitration with an open mind and without any preconditions. Lufthansa has declined this proposal made by VC.
The company council’s idea is sound and in the interest of everyone, especially the passengers and the long term profitability of Lufthansa. To finish one conflict and afterwards begin the next one is not in anyone’s interest. VC is convinced that sustainable solutions in this long lasting industrial conflict can only be achieved, if all contentious issues are addressed and resolved. Pilots at Germanwings and Lufthansa have shown time and time again that they stand firmly behind VC.
"The call for settling all open issues via arbitration, demonstrates that VC is searching for constructive solutions which will facilitate the successful future of the Lufthansa Group," said VC-spokesman Markus Wahl.
